阿倫為了趕上桃園航空城投資計畫的熱潮，將祖產整個投資到房地產中，以求在短期內快速的翻倍獲利。為此，他只能睡在汽車內，讓房子保持原屋的美好，而他的日常生活，只能被迫和公共空間、大眾設施合而為一。貸款壓力和炒房獲利的美夢纏繞著他，美麗的房子看似充滿希望，卻也改變他的生活型態，甚至邁向無人郊野的境地。
