本片利用暑假作業簿的形式作為故事架構，把小時候的記憶化為單元式的回想，拼湊出現今遺憾與童年的連結。片中與爺爺的冷戰，以及想被關注的渴望，一步步的導向臺灣家庭對於「愛」的表達方式，含蓄且深刻。在記憶中的畫面如此矛盾與遺憾，爺爺的身影已不再記得，只記得他騎摩托車時腳拖著地的聲音。
